Red Bull pilot tells of close calls in the air

Air Race Pilot Matt Hall in his Red Bull Aircraft Display
Matt Hall made his debut in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship in 2009, becoming the first Australian to compete in the famed event.
In 2010 Hall continued to show he has the potential to be a future world champion by finishing second in front of a “home” crowd in Perth, fourth in Rio and third in Lausitz. Despite missing two races after his splash into the Detroit River in Windsor, Hall still managed to finish 7th overall.

2009 Aerobatic Champion Paul Bennet displays
Paul Bennet has performed at airshows since 2005, and has won numerous aerobatic competitions during that time. In 2009 he was crowned the Australian Unlimited Aerobatic Champion, receiving the Phillips Cup.
In 2008 Paul was crowned Australian Advanced Aerobatic Champion. After over 350 performances and 150 displays, before millions of fans, he is one of a handful of Australian Pilots to hold a ground level aerobatics approval.

Royal Flying Doctor Service Flying in
RFDS Cairns have advised that they will bring a front-line King Air, pilot, flight nurse and promotional display for the weekend.
You'll be able to have a look inside the aircraft and talk to the crew about the vital work the RFDS performs. |
Border Protection to Fly in !
Border Protection will be flying in when operations permit. They will bring the spectacular F406 pictured. The Reims-Cessna F406 Caravan II is a twin turboprop aircraft manufactured and designed by Reims Aviation in cooperation with Cessna. |
Cairns Car Clubs in Force !
The European Car Club and the Porsche Club of Cairns are attending in force! They expect to have over a dozen cars on display, including 3-4 Ferraris, a rare Maserati GT, 2 x Alfa-Romeo Spyders, 6 Porsches and a Kharmann Ghia, amongst others. One lucky airshow patron each day will win the chance to have a ride in the Maserati GT (it's one of only 30 world-wide!).
The clubs have also arranged to take local disadvantaged children and adults for a ride up and down the runway as part of their daily Supercar Parade. |

Warbird Adventures Support
Warbird Adventures (Mareeba) have indicated that they will bring 4 aircraft to the event - Winjeel, Nanchang, Harvard and Chipmunk. Their support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to having them on show for the weekend. Their Kittyhawk and Trojan are unfortunately unavailable for the event. |
Dodge Viper!
The Sydney-based owner of a Dodge Viper (similar to the one pictured left) has confirmed that he is travelling to Ingham (visiting family in Townsville along the way) and will have his car on display for the weekend. We're looking forward to seeing it! |

Message from the Premier of Queensland
An amazing array of historic aircraft and vehicles will be on show at the Ingham Wings and Wheels Airshow.
Aviation enthusiasts can inspect aircraft ranging from ultralights and gyrocopters to sport, commercial, vintage and military aircraft on show. Wheels on display include vintage and veteran cars, as well as restored military vehicles.
Events like the Ingham Wings and Wheels Airshow showcase the region and are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
